The Team Pursuit produced two more drama’s of the day… In the fight off for Bronze CyclePremier were pushed to the every end, after losing a man and having to fight all the way to the end. They narrowly beat Hargroves by 100’s second.
In the race for Gold, Science In Sport chose to maximise the use of lead out man Jody Cundy, & he took the team round the first Km at full throttle. This tactic proved fruitful & his team made good progress on catching VC St Raphael. The laps went by, & it was just a matter of time before the Gold was in the bag for SiS. As the crowd were expecting the sound of the start gun to fire & finish the race, we were left instead, with the sound of Tim Lawson crashing heavily. Unable to finish with the 3rd man rule, SiS were left to collect the Silver Medal.
