Back to back victories for Endura Racing’s Russell Downing helps team mate Scott Thwaite maintain his healthy lead in the series. The race came down to a bunch sprint after several attempts were made to break away. The first part of the race saw a two man escape of Pete Williams and Evan Oliphant, who completed most of the long circuit by themselves. Soon after a five man group got away, before Rapha Condor Sharp helped reel them back into the bunch. By the final bell lap, it was all back together, where Downing powered across the line in Stamfordham and clinched the victory by a narrow margin.
