A sweet victory for Graham Briggs [JLT Condor] after a difficult season brought the conclusion to the HSBC-UK British Cycling 2018 Road Series in the Ryedale Grand Prix finale.<\/p>\n

An 11 man breakaway group of select riders toiled on a grizzly day in the saddle around the Ampleforth Abbey course.<\/p>\n

HSBC-UK Grand Prix Series 2018 – Ryedale GP – Driving the chase, Andrew Tennant, Canyon Eisberg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As the race drew to it\u2019s conclusion a hard chase by the peloton driven by Andy Tennant [Canyon Eisberg] allowed a couple of riders including National Champion Conor Swift [Madison Genesis] to bridge across the gap on the run into the Collage grounds and the final push up-to the line.<\/p>\n

The ask was too great for Swift finishing 3rd behind Max Steadman [Canyon Eisberg] but taking the overall individual classification along with the team title for Madison Genesis.<\/p>\n

HSBC-UK BC Women’s Road Series 2018 | Ryedale GP Win for Anna Henderson – Cycle Team OnForm<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The HSBC-UK BC National Women\u2019s Series also drew it\u2019s conclusion earlier in the day around the same Ampleforth Abbey course with another victory for Anna Henderson [Cycle Team OnForm] ahead of Anna Christian [Trek Drops].<\/p>\n
The individual win was already out of reach for the days riders with Sophie Wright [Torelli Brother] taking overall victory but that didn\u2019t deter Henderson who missed out narrowly by a single point. Storey Racing wining the overall team classification.<\/p>\n

The race lit-up when Annabel Fisher [Team Jadan Weldtite p\/b Vive le Velo] made her break to escape the clutches of the peloton, soon to return.<\/p>\n
After several attacks were quickly nullified it was Henderson & Christian that held the trump card between them returning through the college grounds for the final time.<\/p>\n
