Brenton Jones, JLT Condor wins the Stockton-on-Tees Velo29-Altura Festival of Cycling HSBC-UK National Circuit Series round four ahead of this Sundays Stockton Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Powering along the back-straight passing Tobyn Horton, Madison Genesis, and local rider Harry Tanfield, BIKE Channel Canyon, Jones got a clean exit out of the final corner ahead of Enrique Sanz, Team Raleigh GAC. Tanfield took third with Will Fox, Catford CC Equipe-Banks ahead of series leader Matt Gibson, JLT Condor for fifth.<\/p>\n

Brenton. A great race indeed! What a fast race around the streets of Stockton. I guess it\u2019s the first time you have raced around here? It\u2019s my first time. It\u2019s a great course, It\u2019s really fast and technical corners \u2013 a few tight corners that really strung the bunch out. The JLT Condor boys were superb tonight, played together, great racing \u2013 that\u2019s the way of the series.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course you are still leading the team classification. It\u2019s been a great season at JLT Condor. The race tonight was all about speed and positioning. Were you confident going into the final corner? Yeh! I\u2019m sprinting well, so if I could hold off for the last sprint I\u2019d be first. I felt good tonight!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sixteen riders broke clear a quarter of the way into the hour long race through Stockton High Street, a fast and technical course now in it\u2019s sixth year.<\/p>\n

Extending their lead to over thirty seconds JTL Condor where in the thick of the action from the get-go, stringing out the seventy riders in the early laps as Graham Briggs stretched his legs on the front.<\/p>\n

Making the break were Slater, Mora, Sanz, Fox, McEvoy, C Tanfield, H Tanfield, Townsend, Moses, Swift, Pullar, Briggs, Frame, Gibson, Cronshaw and Horton.<\/p>\n

Attacks came thick and fast with four riders eventually gaining a small advantage. Jack Puller, BIKE Channel Canyon, Tobyn Horton, Alex Frame, JLT Condor and Sebastian Mora, Team Raleigh GAC before being brought back into the fold.<\/p>\n

After an hours racing, who’s next to go in the Stockton Velo29-Altura National Circuit race.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

By the three-quarter marker a different quartet had formed a lead but this soon came back as the hour approached.<\/p>\n

Charlie Tanfield, Brother NRG Driveplan tried his luck with seven laps remaining gaining a hundred-meters or so.<\/p>\n

Next up with his usual long attack and four laps remaining was Conor Swift, Madison Genesis holding out for a couple of laps before team-mate McEvoy took over.<\/p>\n

In the end, a strong JLT Condor team took the honours wining the individual race and extending their team dominance.<\/p>\n

Best local rider presentation went to Harry Tanfield, BIKE Channel Canyon finishing third overall animating the race all evening.<\/p>\n

Next up, the Beverley Grand Prix on Friday July 21st before the final round, the Colne Grand Prix on Wednesday 26th July.<\/p>\n
