It meant no one could really counter it properly.<\/p>\n<p>So I led out on the climb on a lap to go and tested my legs and see how everyone else was going \u2013 and I opened up a gap. There was a lot of attacks, so I was having to jump on everything, but I sort of kept it on the left of the road so I could look right and be on moves before they really went \u2013 which saved me a lot on energy.<\/p>\n<p>I led out quite a long way out basically, from where it started going up. Yeh! My legs were screaming but I knew I was in the lead.
