Bibby makes it two-in-a-row winning the Ryedale Grand Prix for a second successive year!<\/em><\/p>\n

NFTO’s Ian Bibby claims victory in round two of the Motorpoint Grand Prix Series in the closing meters of the race from a depleted Matt Holmes [Madison-Genesis] who had broke free from the leading bunch on the final circuit of the day.<\/p>\n

The front group had come back together having caught lone escapee Chris Lawless [JLT Condor] on the final lap after his two circuit solo effort came to nothing.<\/p>\n

A sense of urgency returned to the peloton mid race as the smaller circuits began after splintering and reforming several times on the bigger laps. NFTO had missed out initially and decided to drive the chase along slowly reeling the front eight-man group back.<\/p>\n

With five laps remaining, the front group had shrank to six riders with a one-seventeen lead over the chasing group.<\/p>\n

With four laps remaining the front group had dropped to five riders and only ten-seconds advantage, Pedal Heaven had joined force on the front before being closed down completely. Around eighteen riders are now at the front of the race.<\/p>\n

It was at this point when Lawless set off and the peloton once more fractured into several groups. Lawless gained nineteen seconds advantage to a small group and a further twenty-six on the remainder of the peloton.<\/p>\n

Driving through the bell, Lawless looked like he may go all the way, but got caught with around ten kilometres remaining.<\/p>\n

Homes set off and made it on to the grounds and past the Rugby fields with around seven seconds advantage, but just ran out of steam as the finish-straight-barriers approached.<\/p>\n

Bibby took the victory with Jack Pullar [Pedal Heaven] second and Adrian Moreno Sala [Raleigh GAC] third.<\/p>\n
