&#8211; Northumberland<\/h4>\n<p>The National Women&#8217;s Road Race Series is run over 6 rounds this year. The later two rounds over two events. The Curlew Cup is run in conjunction with the Premier Calendar Beaumont Trophy around a circuit totalling 55 miles, starting and finishing in Stamfordham, Northumberland. The race is part of a weekend long event, the Virgin Money Cyclone comprising a leisure ride, an elite criterium, a cycling challenge and the elite men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s road races.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Race<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The race set of with 36 riders, and the first split came in lap\u00a0three with five riders going clear. Series leader Sarah Storey along with Catherine Williamson, Helen Wyman, Eileen Rowe and Rebecca Heath all rode to the\u00a0end in front, with two smaller groups forming a minute or two behind.
