Season 10 of the track cycling Revolution series, returns to the boards of the Manchester Velodrome on Saturday 27th October 2012. This four event championship will be contested by 12 teams this time round, and will be based on five endurance disciplines throughout each of the evening sessions. The Flying Lap, The Scratch Race, The Points Race, The Elimination Race and of course finally, the Revolution Madison Time Trial.

To add extra competition to an already exciting, fast and furious evening of gladiatorial entertainment. The Elite Championship program will be limited to two riders per Elite team, for each of the rounds. This will allow some of our more familiar trade teams, a chance to fit their riders into already busy winter schedules. Of course, the DHL Future Stars will once again battle for their own Champion, one for the boys & one for the girls.

The Elite Teams are:

  1. Team Sky
  2. Rapha Condor Sharp
  3. IG-Sigma Sport
  4. Raleigh-GAC
  5. NetApp-Endura
  6. Rudy Project RT
  7. Maxgear
  8. Team Sportscover
  9. Team howies
  10. Team WD40
  11. Rouler
  12. FACE

In a first for the Revolution series, the event will travel to a different velodrome for the finale. A trip north into Scotland and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow is an exciting new development for this season. Along with better highlight TV coverage, the Revolution is already almost a sell-out event. All of the tickets for the Manchester rounds have gone with only tickets left for Glasgow.

The dates are:

  1. Round 1          October 27th 2012     Manchester
  2. Round 2          December 01st 2012  Manchester
  3. Round 3          January 05th 2013      Manchester
  4. Round 4          February 02nd 2013   Glasgow

Ed Clancy, Steven Burke, Alex Dowsett, Jody Cundy & Andy Tennant are confirmed British based riders for round one, along with regular International riders Christian Grasmann, Leif Pampater & Peter Schep.

TV Highlights will be shown on Wednesday 31st October. Catch Ned Boulting, on ITV4 at 20.00pm, with guest presenter Lizzie Armitstead…
